Italian lime, laid by hand and burnished by trowel. Specified by architects. Trusted on commercial and heritage projects.
Decorative lime is the whole business. Nothing is skimmed, nothing is subcontracted, and the people on your wall do this and only this.
Imported from Italy by Zavorè. The tub says what is in it, and so can we.
Our work includes a Grade II* listed building, the highest grade of listing in the country.
Three boards, made for your wall, in your colour. Nothing is agreed until you have held them.
Itemised, agreed, and then left alone. It does not move after it is signed.
The same shape on every job, so there are no surprises in the middle of it.
We talk, or we visit. The substrate and the use of the room decide the system, and we tell you which one before anything is priced.
A real panel in the real finish, made for your wall and left with you. You sign it off, or we make another.
Every part of the job on its own line, preparation to protection. No allowances, no extras, no movement once it is agreed.
Protection down before a tub is opened. Dust controlled. Each coat built and burnished to the sample. Clean-down at the end of every day.
We walk it with you, leave you the aftercare, and stay on the end of the phone. The wall carries on improving for years.
Aged lime and marble flour, worked until it reflects. The glassiest of the six, and the one people mean by Venetian plaster.
Marble aggregate with a bit more grain, matt or softly burnished. Kinder across a big wall, and it wears in rather than out.
Two millimetres thick, seamless and sealed. Goes over tiles, takes a floor, and does not mind a shower.
The Moroccan one: lime, a polishing stone and olive-oil soap. One continuous surface, which is why it lives in wet rooms.
Brushed, not trowelled. Chalky, cloudy and almost without sheen. Four walls of it make a room feel quiet.
Actual metal in the finish, which tarnishes and patinates like metal does. Bronze, brass, copper and iron.
We work across Bradford, which is a stone city: the Victorian warehouses of Little Germany, the model village at Saltaire, the mills along the Aire, and street after street of stone terraces and villas in Heaton, Shipley and out towards Ilkley and Baildon, where the larger houses are. A good deal of it is listed, and nearly all of it is lime.
Stone and lime go together, so in a Bradford house we work in lime: Marmorino, polished plaster or limewash, which were made for exactly these walls and move with them. The warehouse conversions are a mix of original stone and modern board, where polished plaster against the stone looks as if it belongs.
Everything about how we work — the samples, the fixed price, the six finishes — is on our main Venetian plastering page. This page is about Bradford.
We cover the whole of Bradford and the towns around it. If your address is not listed, ask anyway.
A picture and a measurement is all we need to start. Next steps within a working day.
If you need any help, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer anything about finishes, timings or price.
