Genuine Italian lime, applied by hand and polished with the trowel. Specified by architects. Trusted on commercial and heritage work.
Decorative lime is the whole business. Nothing is skimmed, nothing is subcontracted, and the people on your wall do this and only this.
Imported from Italy by Zavorè. The tub says what is in it, and so can we.
Our work includes a Grade II* listed building, the highest grade of listing in the country.
Three boards, made for your wall, in your colour. Nothing is agreed until you have held them.
Itemised, agreed, and then left alone. It does not move after it is signed.
Our own work, photographed on site, not stock images.
Five stages, in writing, before we start. Nothing happens that you were not told about.
We find out what the wall is made of and what the room has to cope with, and tell you which finish will suit it before we quote.
A panel on your own wall, in the real finish and colour. It stays with you until you have decided. Nothing is agreed before that.
Preparation to protection, every part on its own line, in writing. Once signed, it is the number.
Floors and joinery covered, dust controlled, coats built up and burnished to the sample. Cleaned down at the end of every day.
Snags walked, aftercare explained, and a surface that improves with age. We stay reachable.
Lime and marble flour, worked to a mirror. The classic Venetian finish, and the one that shows every flaw in the wall beneath.
A grainier marble plaster, matt or softly burnished. The one most rooms end up with, because it forgives and it lasts.
Two millimetres of seamless cement over whatever is there, tiles included. Floors, bathrooms, showers.
Lime compressed with a stone and sealed with olive-oil soap, as Morocco has done it for centuries. Made for water.
A brushed lime paint rather than a trowelled plaster. Matt, cloudy, calm.
Metal particles applied like plaster and ageing like metal. Bronze, brass, copper and iron.
We work across Cardiff and the Vale: Victorian Pontcanna, Canton and Roath, with their terraces and larger villas; Edwardian Penarth on the cliff above the Bay; the new apartments and hotels of Cardiff Bay itself; and the Vale of Glamorgan beyond, where the houses are either very old or very new. The hospitality trade has grown with the stadium and the Bay.
In Pontcanna and Penarth we work in lime. The Bay is modern and flat, where polished plaster and microcement go on cleanly. In the Vale, limewash and Marmorino suit the stone farmhouses and polished plaster the new-builds. Hospitality work we programme around match days as much as trading hours.
Everything about how we work — the samples, the fixed price, the six finishes — is on our main Venetian plastering page. This page is about Cardiff.
We cover the whole of Cardiff and the towns around it. If your address is not listed, ask anyway.
A photo and a rough size gets things moving. Next steps within one working day.
If you need any help, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer anything about finishes, timings or price.
