Hand-applied Italian lime, trowel-burnished, made to last. Specified by architects. Proven on heritage and commercial projects.
We do not skim, we do not take general plastering, and we do not pass work on. Decorative lime, applied by hand, is all we do.
It comes through Zavorè, who import it. We know what is in it because we have asked, and we have never found a reason to change.
Including a Grade II* listed building, which is as high as listing goes.
Made before you commit to anything, so the decision is made with the finish in your hand.
Agreed before we start. Signed means settled.
Three of our own projects, as they were handed over.
No mystery, no drift. Most projects run to this shape, and you know the next step before you take the current one.
A call or a site visit. We look at the substrate and how the room is used, then tell you which system actually suits it.
A panel in your exact finish, colour and sheen, made for your wall and left with you to live with. Nothing proceeds until you have signed it off.
Itemised in writing: preparation, materials, labour, protection. Nothing hidden in the rate. The number does not move once agreed.
Floors and joinery protected, dust controlled, coats built and burnished to the sampled standard. Clean site every evening.
Snag walk, aftercare guidance, and a surface that keeps improving with age. We stay reachable afterwards.
Lime and marble flour, worked to a mirror. The classic Venetian finish, and the one that shows every flaw in the wall beneath.
A grainier marble plaster, matt or softly burnished. The one most rooms end up with, because it forgives and it lasts.
Two millimetres of seamless cement over whatever is there, tiles included. Floors, bathrooms, showers.
Lime compressed with a stone and sealed with olive-oil soap, as Morocco has done it for centuries. Made for water.
A brushed lime paint rather than a trowelled plaster. Matt, cloudy, calm.
Metal particles applied like plaster and ageing like metal. Bronze, brass, copper and iron.
We work across Essex, which has a lot of substantial houses: older stock in Brentwood, Loughton and Epping, and a great deal of new-build and self-build on larger plots around Chelmsford, Billericay and Ingatestone. The brief here is often a complete interior: a statement entrance hall, an open-plan kitchen wall, a media wall and a master bathroom, all chosen together.
New-build and self-build means plasterboard and a flat, dry substrate, which is the easiest start a decorative finish can have. Polished plaster and marble-effect feature walls are the usual request, with microcement in the bathrooms. In the older Epping and Loughton houses we check what is under the skim before anything goes on.
Everything about how we work — the samples, the fixed price, the six finishes — is on our main Venetian plastering page. This page is about Essex.
We cover the whole of Essex and the towns around it. If your address is not listed, ask anyway.
Send a photo of the wall and a rough size. We reply within one working day.
If you need any help, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer anything about finishes, timings or price.
