Lime from Italy, built up by hand and burnished until it shines. Written into architects' drawings. Trusted on listed and commercial projects.
We do not skim, we do not patch, and we never pass a job to someone else. Lime finishes, applied by hand, are the whole of what we do.
It comes through Zavorè, who bring it in from Italy. We know what goes on your wall because we know where it came from.
Architects write us into their drawings. Our work includes a Grade II* listed building, the highest listing there is.
Three of them, in your colour and finish, made for your wall. You decide with the finish in your hand.
Written down, itemised, agreed. After it is signed, it does not change.
Our own work, photographed on site, not stock images.
The same shape on every job, so there are no surprises in the middle of it.
We talk, or we visit. The substrate and the use of the room decide the system, and we tell you which one before anything is priced.
A real panel in the real finish, made for your wall and left with you. You sign it off, or we make another.
Every part of the job on its own line, preparation to protection. No allowances, no extras, no movement once it is agreed.
Protection down before a tub is opened. Dust controlled. Each coat built and burnished to the sample. Clean-down at the end of every day.
We walk it with you, leave you the aftercare, and stay on the end of the phone. The wall carries on improving for years.
Marble dust and aged lime, burnished to a mirror. The finish most people picture when they say Venetian plaster.
A coarser marble aggregate, left matt or taken to a low sheen. More forgiving across a large wall, and it ages better.
Seamless, waterproof and thin enough to go over existing tile. Bathrooms, wet rooms and floors.
Moroccan lime, compressed with a stone and sealed with soap. Seamless and water-resistant, which is why it ends up in showers.
The softest of the six. Cloudy, chalky, brushed rather than trowelled. A whole room in limewash reads as calm.
Real metal particles that oxidise and patinate as they age. Bronze, brass, copper, iron.
We work across Leicester, from the big Victorian and Edwardian villas of Stoneygate, Clarendon Park and Knighton to the old hosiery and textile mills that have become apartments near the centre. Around the city there is a serious hospitality and events sector, with banqueting suites and wedding venues that refit on a short cycle and need walls that photograph.
In the Stoneygate villas we work in lime, because they are lime and Marmorino or polished plaster looks as if it belongs. The mill conversions are flat, modern substrates where our microcement and polished plaster both sit happily. In the venues the brief is usually scale: one long feature wall or a run of columns, seamless from end to end.
Everything about how we work — the samples, the fixed price, the six finishes — is on our main Venetian plastering page. This page is about Leicester.
We cover the whole of Leicester and the towns around it. If your address is not listed, ask anyway.
A photo and a rough size gets things moving. Next steps within one working day.
If you need any help, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer anything about finishes, timings or price.
