Italian lime, laid by hand and burnished by trowel. Specified by architects. Trusted on commercial and heritage projects.
No general plastering, no skim coats, no subcontractors. The people on your wall do this every working day and nothing else.
Supplied by Zavorè, who import it. We have used it for years and we know exactly how it behaves.
Our work is specified on drawings, and includes a Grade II* listed building, which is as high as a listing goes.
Your finish, your colour, your wall. You choose from boards you can hold, before you commit.
Every line agreed before we start. The total does not move once it is signed.
No mystery, no drift. Most projects run to this shape, and you know the next step before you take the current one.
A call or a site visit. We look at the substrate and how the room is used, then tell you which system actually suits it.
A panel in your exact finish, colour and sheen, made for your wall and left with you to live with. Nothing proceeds until you have signed it off.
Itemised in writing: preparation, materials, labour, protection. Nothing hidden in the rate. The number does not move once agreed.
Floors and joinery protected, dust controlled, coats built and burnished to the sampled standard. Clean site every evening.
Snag walk, aftercare guidance, and a surface that keeps improving with age. We stay reachable afterwards.
Lime putty and marble dust taken to a high shine with the trowel. The classic Venetian finish, and the least forgiving of a poor wall beneath it.
Grittier marble in the mix, finished flat or with a low sheen. The most forgiving of the six and the one most rooms end up in.
A thin cement-based coat with no joints. Over tiles, on floors, in showers. Modern and matt.
Lime compressed with a stone and sealed with soap, the way Morocco has done it for centuries. Seamless, water-resistant, made for showers.
A brushed lime paint rather than a trowelled plaster. Soft, cloudy and matt. The calmest finish we do.
Metal particles in a binder, applied like plaster and ageing like metal. Bronze, brass, copper, iron.
We work across Liverpool, which has one of the largest Georgian quarters outside Bath around Hope Street, Canning and Rodney Street; big Victorian villas around Sefton Park, Aigburth and Allerton; the warehouses of the Baltic Triangle and the docks; and a hotel and bar trade that has grown with the city's weekend economy. A great deal of it is listed.
In the Georgian and Victorian stock we work in lime, and in the Canning terraces that is a conservation matter as much as a style one. The warehouse conversions are brick and modern board where polished plaster and microcement are straightforward. In the hotels and bars the brief is a wall that is seen in photographs.
Everything about how we work — the samples, the fixed price, the six finishes — is on our main Venetian plastering page. This page is about Liverpool.
We cover the whole of Liverpool and the towns around it. If your address is not listed, ask anyway.
A photograph and a rough size is enough to begin. You will have next steps within one working day.
If you need any help, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer anything about finishes, timings or price.
