Lime from Italy, built up by hand and burnished until it shines. Written into architects' drawings. Trusted on listed and commercial projects.
No skimming, no general plastering, no subcontracting. Every wall is applied and burnished by hand by people who do it every day.
Supplied by Zavorè, who import it from Italy. We know exactly what is in the tub, and we would not use anything else.
We have worked on a Grade II* listed building, which is the highest listing grade there is.
Made for your wall before you commit to anything. You choose the finish in your hand, not from a photograph.
Once it is signed, it does not move.
No mystery, no drift. Most projects run to this shape, and you know the next step before you take the current one.
A call or a site visit. We look at the substrate and how the room is used, then tell you which system actually suits it.
A panel in your exact finish, colour and sheen, made for your wall and left with you to live with. Nothing proceeds until you have signed it off.
Itemised in writing: preparation, materials, labour, protection. Nothing hidden in the rate. The number does not move once agreed.
Floors and joinery protected, dust controlled, coats built and burnished to the sampled standard. Clean site every evening.
Snag walk, aftercare guidance, and a surface that keeps improving with age. We stay reachable afterwards.
Lime and marble flour, worked to a mirror. The classic Venetian finish, and the one that shows every flaw in the wall beneath.
A grainier marble plaster, matt or softly burnished. The one most rooms end up with, because it forgives and it lasts.
Two millimetres of seamless cement over whatever is there, tiles included. Floors, bathrooms, showers.
Lime compressed with a stone and sealed with olive-oil soap, as Morocco has done it for centuries. Made for water.
A brushed lime paint rather than a trowelled plaster. Matt, cloudy, calm.
Metal particles applied like plaster and ageing like metal. Bronze, brass, copper and iron.
We work across Manchester, from Ancoats and the Northern Quarter, where the mills have become apartments with brick walls and iron columns, to the towers along Deansgate, the Victorian suburbs of Didsbury, Chorlton and Whalley Range, and the big houses of Hale, Bowdon and Altrincham. It also has one of the densest bar and restaurant scenes in the country, which refits constantly and competes on how the room looks.
In the Didsbury and Hale houses we work in lime. In the mill conversions, a seamless polished plaster or microcement wall against original brick looks right, because the contrast is the point. In the bars and restaurants the brief is a feature wall or bar front in Marmorino or liquid metal, worked overnight.
Everything about how we work — the samples, the fixed price, the six finishes — is on our main Venetian plastering page. This page is about Manchester.
We cover the whole of Manchester and the towns around it. If your address is not listed, ask anyway.
A photograph and a rough size is enough to begin. You will have next steps within one working day.
If you need any help, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer anything about finishes, timings or price.
