Italian lime by hand, burnished by trowel, nothing sprayed. Architect-specified. Trusted on commercial and heritage work.
We do not skim, we do not take general plastering, and we do not pass work on. Decorative lime, applied by hand, is all we do.
It comes through Zavorè, who import it. We know what is in it because we have asked, and we have never found a reason to change.
Including a Grade II* listed building, which is as high as listing goes.
Made before you commit to anything, so the decision is made with the finish in your hand.
Agreed before we start. Signed means settled.
Our own work, photographed on site, not stock images.
The same shape on every job, so there are no surprises in the middle of it.
We talk, or we visit. The substrate and the use of the room decide the system, and we tell you which one before anything is priced.
A real panel in the real finish, made for your wall and left with you. You sign it off, or we make another.
Every part of the job on its own line, preparation to protection. No allowances, no extras, no movement once it is agreed.
Protection down before a tub is opened. Dust controlled. Each coat built and burnished to the sample. Clean-down at the end of every day.
We walk it with you, leave you the aftercare, and stay on the end of the phone. The wall carries on improving for years.
Lime putty and marble dust taken to a high shine with the trowel. The classic Venetian finish, and the least forgiving of a poor wall beneath it.
Grittier marble in the mix, finished flat or with a low sheen. The most forgiving of the six and the one most rooms end up in.
A thin cement-based coat with no joints. Over tiles, on floors, in showers. Modern and matt.
Lime compressed with a stone and sealed with soap, the way Morocco has done it for centuries. Seamless, water-resistant, made for showers.
A brushed lime paint rather than a trowelled plaster. Soft, cloudy and matt. The calmest finish we do.
Metal particles in a binder, applied like plaster and ageing like metal. Bronze, brass, copper, iron.
We work in Norwich and the Norfolk villages for whole rooms and complete schemes. The city has more medieval buildings than almost any in England, a Georgian and Victorian ring around them, and the Golden Triangle of large Victorian and Edwardian houses between Unthank Road and Earlham Road. The villages are flint and brick, with barn conversions and rectories, and much of the whole is listed.
Flint and brick are lime buildings, so in Norwich we work in lime nearly always. Limewash and a soft Marmorino in a flint cottage look as if they were always there; polished plaster in a Golden Triangle villa has the tall rooms it needs. Conservation work we do in lime by specification.
Everything about how we work — the samples, the fixed price, the six finishes — is on our main Venetian plastering page. This page is about Norwich.
We cover the whole of Norwich and the towns around it. If your address is not listed, ask anyway.
A photo and a rough size gets things moving. Next steps within one working day.
If you need any help, feel free to get in touch. We are happy to answer anything about finishes, timings or price.
